The care plan

How does the app decide the dates?

Each item gets three tasks: thorough clean, inspection and renew protection. The interval depends on the finish, on where the item is used and on how hard it is used.

Renewal is counted from the last renewal you recorded, else from the "finish last renewed" date on the item, else from its installation date, else from the day you added it. Cleaning and inspection are counted from the last record, else from the day you added the item.

The full rules and the interval table are in the app under More → How the plan works.

An interval does not suit my item. Can I change it?

Yes. Open the item, tap Adjust intervals and set your own number of months, from 1 to 120, or switch a task off. "Use suggested" brings the app's figure back.

Why is my outdoor renewal dated 1 September or 15 May?

Exterior coatings need dry wood and mild weather, in Estonia roughly from May to September. An outdoor renewal that would fall between October and December is brought forward to 1 September. One that would fall between January and April waits for 15 May.

Why did the cleaning and inspection dates move when I recorded a renewal?

Recording a renewal also resets cleaning and inspection, because both are part of the job.

Reminders

Will the app remind me?

Not with notifications. The app never sends any and asks for no permission to do so.

What is due is shown on the Today tab, in the calendar on the Plan tab, and as a number on the Plan tab icon. You see it when you open the app.

What do the states mean?

On track: more than 45 days to go. Coming up: within 45 days. Due now: within 14 days, including the day itself. Overdue: the date has passed.

Your data

Where is my data?

On your phone, inside the app. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account and the app has no internet access.

Can I back it up or move it to a new phone?

No. The data is not included in Android cloud backups, and the app has no backup or import function. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, the data is gone.

You can export the care plan as a PDF to keep a copy to read or print. The app cannot load a PDF back in.

How do I delete everything?

More → Your data → Delete all data. This removes all items, history, photos, saved calculations and checklist ticks from the phone and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app does the same.

Which permissions does the app ask for?

None. Photos are chosen with the Android photo picker, which hands the app only the picture you pick.

Advice and figures

Can I rely on the advice for my product?

The app gives general guidance for a typical home. It cannot see your wood or your product. Always test on a hidden spot first and follow the manufacturer's instructions for the product you use.

For rot, structural damage, active wood-boring insects or old paint that may contain lead, ask a professional. The Guide has an article on when to call one.

The calculator's coverage is not what my tin says.

The coverage figures are typical ranges, there to give a starting point. Type the figure from your tin into the Coverage field and the result follows.

Does the app recommend brands?

No. It names kinds of finish, not products or makers.

The app

What does it cost?

Nothing. All functions are free. There are no adverts, purchases or subscriptions.

Which language and units does it use?

English, with metric units, euro and dates such as 20.10.2026. Weeks start on Monday.
